February 2006

Yes a new competition year has begun.

On Saturday 4th 9 shooters turned out for the first official shoot with B Hong taking out first place 25/25

Second was a tie with A. Fanning & W. Weaver 22/25

Third another tie M Andrews & N Senini 22/25

If anyone wants the results below this please copy and paste as I will be removing them in the coming weeks.

September 2005

Saturday the 3rd of September shoot held in good conditions.

First A fanning with 25 Second M Andrews & S Kelly Both with 24 and Third a 3 way tie J Andrews, L Randall & B Hong.

JUNE 2005

 The S.S.A.A. MACKAY branch held their Friday night shotgun shoot on the 10/06/05
 in beautiful cool calm conditions , 20 shooters , made up of 2 juniors
and 1 lady , competed in a 25 clay event . this consisted of 10 clays
straight out , 5 clays from the right and on report , 5 from the left and finally
5 in a walk up straight out . 1 st was a tie between Bernie Hong and
George Balias with 22 clays , 3rd was Lance Randell , just behind with 21 .  
The beginners class was well attended with over 12 first time shooters attending
 to try the art of shot gunning out . The next shot will be on Saturday the 2nd
 of July for the afternoon shoot and the next Friday night shoot is on the
 8th of JULY

MAY2005

Saturday 7th 

10 shooters attended 9 adults and 1 junior.

1st with 23 T Gordon 2nd 20 A Fanning & 3rd D Holden 17

MARCH 2005

Friday night the 11/03/05 saw the return of friday night shot gun
competition at the SSAA George Range . While it was very gusty and cool , it was a great night with over 20 competiters . 

Bernie Hong took out 1st place with  25 out of 26 clays , a welcome return to form for him .  2rd was Lance
Randell with 23 and a 3 way tie for 3rd between George Balias , Andrew Weaver and Paul Rainer all on 22 clays ......the beginner class was very busy as normal with Ian Rabig doing his best ...the next shoot will be on Saturday the 2nd in the afternoon with the Friday night shoot being on the 8th of April.......all welcome 

November 2004

SSAA Mackay  held their Friday night shotgun shoot on the 12th  in very still
and hot conditions, with over  twenty five shooters , two of them ladies attending.
A 25 clay event was shot, 1st place with a clean round of 25
was George Balias , 2nd  was Brian McMillian with 24 and tied for 3rd was
four shooters , Arnold Fanning, B Weaver , Noel Senini and Alan Jones. The
beginners class was again very popular with 12 shooters  a mix of juniors ,
ladies and men. The next shotgun shoot will be on Saturday the 11th of
December and will be an all day event !  

Friday 8/10/04

A night shotgun shoot was held with 16 shooters shooting a 25 clay event in warm but gusty conditions.

1^st was a tie between G Balias & D Wright both shooting 24.

2^nd was also a tie between T Gordon & M Andews shooting 23.

With L Randell coming 3^rd with 21.

Also a large group of beginners turned out for some coaching from Ian Rabig with the assistance of some of the more experienced shooters.

Next shoot will be the evening of Friday the 12^th of November
